Meditation Hall

Of the two buildings that comprise the Blazing Mountain Retreat Center campus, the Main Hall is the primary facility for group practice. Designed to create an atmosphere of spaciousness and sky-like mind, the Main Hall is one of the premier group retreat spaces available in the country, and is able to accommodate programs ranging in size from 15 to 75 participants.

The main feature of this building – its spacious 3,000 square foot meditation hall – is large enough to host up to 75 participants. From within this magnificent space, participants enjoy breathtaking views of the San Luis valley from the western and southern window banks, and stunning views of the Sangre de Cristo peaks to the east. A large covered patio on the west side of the Main Hall makes a wonderful outdoor practice space and offers stunning views of the San Luis Valley.

A fireplace in the rear of the room offers a connection to the rustic setting in which the hall is located.

The Main Hall has some features to help accommodate those with disabilities, from the hearing-impaired to the movement-impaired. An elevator can take people from the second-floor shrine room to the first-floor entrance and dining hall, for those with mobility issues. Bathrooms are equipped for wheelchair access.
